On Facebook and MySpace, you cannot miss the popular online games. Well, these entire games provider is ‘Playdom’, founded in San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The University of California, Berkeley and Swarthmore College graduates co-established the company which probably becomes the largest game developer on the social websites such as Facebook and MySpace. The huge success also promotes the team to work harder, its online games has a contribution of a market worth $300 million throughout the year 2009, what’s more, Playdom was awarded as one of the ‘2010 Hottest Silicon Valley Companies’ in 2010. Nowadays, Playdom has become No.3 social game company with about 42 million players in one month, with an initial payment of $563 million from Disney.

1. Social City

Published by Playdom, Social City is a real-time simulation game, which is available on Facebook.com and iPhone platforms. With a city-building theme, the game was awarded the ‘Best Social Network Game’. It allows you to build your own cities, and you need to manage the leisure, factory and residential buildings so as to keep your residents happy. Not an easy job, though. 2. Mobsters

3. Mobsters 2: Vendetta
