Founded on April 28, 2000, the South Korea-based video game publisher and developer named ‘Webzen’ has become the leader of its industry in Asian market, along with its subsidiaries. The company has attracted many young staff, whose average age is only 26 years old, and therefore has published many popular games, attributing to these energetic and enthusiastic talents. Since it published its first full-3D MMORGP ‘MU Online’ in 2001, Webzen has started its global business towards other countries. Currently, the company’s most online players have reached 1.2 million and the club members reached 5.6 million around the world. It is regarded as the top 2 Global Online Game publisher by many international media. In order to increase its competitiveness and profit in the market, Webzen decided to merge with NHN Games in 2010.

Two of its most popular games are MU Online, and SUN. 1. ArchLord

With a 3D fantasy MMOPRG title, ‘ArchLord’ became a free-to-play online game along with its first expansion pack. Though it didn’t receive the expected good reviews from the gaming press, the gameplay seems not that bad. With its crafting system, you are allowed to customize your character, and —-to fight monsters! Only this time, you can choose to transform into a monster yourself, and create food to get a bonus. Released on Oct.6th, 2003, the Webzen-published MMORPG ‘MU Online’ makes you choose one of the playable characters and fight against the monsters! The unique part of the game is that the monsters are all different. Actually, you can see goblins and golems, and the frightening Gorgon or Kundun! To be a hero, you need to pay attention to your strength, agility, vitality and energy. Gain enough experience to level-up, and beat more monsters!

3. Soul of the Ultimate Nation

Produced by Webzen, the fantasy MMORPG named ‘Soul of the Ultimate Nation’ was released around 2007. In a rebel group known as ‘The Guidance’, you can play in the combat map where the little partitions can hold 20 to 40 characters to play. Your freedom is maximized in the game cuz you are the one who decides the level of difficulty, the number of monsters, the combat maps and everything you can imagine.
